How we help

Vehicle care, made clear

Vehicles do not organise their problems into website categories. This page brings together the wider repair list so you can quickly see whether the workshop is likely to help—and when a diagnostic booking should come first.

What this service can include

  • Engine, transmission, clutch, brake, suspension and steering work
  • Cooling, belts, bearings, exhaust, battery and charging repairs
  • Inspections, fluids, tyres, air conditioning and seasonal care

Every vehicle and situation is different. Speak to our reception team for availability and an assessment specific to yours.

Good to know before you book

Clear scope. Helpful answers.

More of the work we can help with

  • Cooling-system leaks, pumps, radiators, thermostats, hoses, heater faults and overheating investigation.
  • Fuel and ignition faults, injectors, glow plugs, turbo replacement, actuator concerns and conventional starting or charging problems.
  • DPF, EGR, AdBlue/SCR, catalytic-converter and sensor diagnosis and repairs, retaining the required emissions equipment.
  • Welding, corrosion repair and damaged-fastener extraction are considered case by case after inspection.

Work we do not offer

  • No accident repairs, ADAS calibration, key cutting or programming, or walnut-blasting/intake-carbon-cleaning treatment.
  • No automatic or CVT gearbox repairs or replacement; compatible transmission servicing is available.
  • No VAG V6-and-larger timing chains or JLR timing chains. Full engine machining and rebuilding are not in-house services.
  • No EV electrical or diagnostic work, hybrid high-voltage work, taxi/private-hire certification or specialist engineer reports.
The detail, already open

Everything useful, ready to read.

Every section is expanded by default so customers can see the complete scope, limits and booking information immediately.

01

Engine and mechanical

From routine wear to larger mechanical work, the exact vehicle and condition set the scope.

  • Oil and fluid leaks
  • Gaskets and seals
  • Assessed engine repairs and complete engine replacement; no in-house full rebuilds or machining
  • Cylinder-head and cooling-related work
  • Cambelts, supported timing chains, auxiliary belts and pulleys; VAG V6-and-larger and JLR timing chains excluded
  • Water pumps, radiators, thermostats, hoses and fans
  • Engine mounts, exhaust mounts and vibration concerns
02

Transmission and driveline

The driveline is assessed as a connected system.

  • Clutch and dual-mass flywheel replacement
  • Manual gearbox repair, rebuild or replacement
  • Driveshafts, CV joints, boots and hubs
  • Wheel bearings
  • Differential, mount and driveline-noise investigation
  • Gearbox and driveline fluid service where supported
03

Brakes, steering, suspension and wheels

Wear and geometry are checked together where one can affect the other.

  • Brake pads, discs, calipers, hoses, pipes and fluid
  • Springs, dampers, top mounts, arms, bushes and ball joints
  • Steering joints, racks and power-steering concerns
  • Tyre supply, fitting, balancing and puncture assessment
  • Laser alignment and tracking
  • Locking-wheel-nut removal with proof of ownership
04

Electrical, comfort and seasonal

Conventional low-voltage systems and comfort equipment can be investigated.

  • Battery, starter and alternator testing or replacement
  • Conventional 12-volt wiring and electrical fault finding
  • Air-conditioning service, recharge, leak testing and repair
  • Lights, wipers, washers, horns, latches and mirror glass
  • Winter, pre-journey and vehicle health checks
  • Conventional hybrid work by prior agreement; no EV electrical, diagnostic or high-voltage work
05

Exhaust and emissions

Repairing the cause matters as much as treating the affected component.

  • Exhaust leak, rattle, corrosion and mount repair
  • Factory-style section or complete-system replacement
  • Catalyst, DPF, OPF and AdBlue investigation
  • On-car and off-car DPF cleaning routes where suitable
  • Sensor, boost, fuelling and temperature faults considered
  • Custom Powerflow fabrication available through Torque Monsta after assessment
06

MOT, inspection and business support

Routine compliance and planned maintenance can be coordinated in one place.

  • Class 4, 5 and 7 MOT testing
  • Pre-MOT checks, failure repairs and retest guidance
  • Up to 155-point inspection-only service option
  • Interim, full, major and manufacturer-scheduled servicing
  • Classic vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Fleet and eligible 1Link work
  • Payment Assist discussion for eligible invoices

  • You cannot find the exact job elsewhere in the service menu
  • You want one workshop to coordinate inspection, repair, tyres, MOT or maintenance

What our support can include

  • A broad mechanical, electrical, maintenance and compliance capability review
  • The correct specialist or service path identified
  • Priorities, exclusions, parts and labour agreed before work expands
From first conversation to collection

How the process works

01

Listen and inspect

We start with the symptoms, history and intended use, then inspect or test the relevant systems.

02

Explain the evidence

The list is comprehensive, but the correct answer still depends on the exact vehicle, condition, parts supply and safe workshop capacity. Reception will confirm suitability before booking.

03

Agree the work

You receive a clear recommendation and have the opportunity to discuss cost, timing and alternatives before additional work begins.

04

Complete and hand over

The agreed work is completed, appropriate checks are made and the outcome or useful aftercare is explained.

Helpful answers

Frequently asked questions

For advice specific to your make, model or symptoms, call the workshop and we will point you towards the right booking.

What if my repair is not listed?

Call with the registration and a clear description of the symptom or job. The catalogue is deliberately broad, but an unusual vehicle, specialist component or capacity limit still needs confirming before travel.

Can several jobs be completed in one visit?

Often. MOT, service, tyres, repairs and investigation can be coordinated when enough time and parts are planned. List every concern when booking rather than adding it after the vehicle arrives.

Will you prioritise a long repair list?

Yes. Safety-critical and reliability items are separated from routine maintenance and monitor-only observations so you can make an informed decision.

What happens to additional work and old parts?

We seek approval by phone or WhatsApp before additional work. If you want old parts returned, ask when approving the work, before anything is discarded. Images can be shared by WhatsApp where possible.

When might a deposit be required?

A deposit may be needed for dealer or online-ordered parts and some larger jobs. Reception will confirm the amount and applicable terms before you commit.

How do I know whether I need other repairs & services?

The signs above are useful indicators, but they can overlap with other faults. Tell us what you have noticed and we will advise whether to book this service, an inspection or diagnostic time.

Can you give an exact price before seeing the vehicle?

We can often explain standard charges or likely ranges. Where condition, specification or diagnosis affects the scope, an accurate estimate follows assessment and is agreed before further work.

Will you contact me if you find something else?

Yes. Additional findings are explained and authorisation requested before we materially extend the work you originally approved.

What should I provide when booking?

Your registration, mileage, relevant warning messages, recent work and a clear description of when the symptom occurs all help us plan the right workshop time.
