Clutches, flywheels & manual drivetrain

Get the drive back.

From a slipping clutch to judder, difficult gear selection or driveline noise, we help establish the cause and explain the available repair route.

01

Start with the symptom, not a diagnosis.

A gear-selection problem does not automatically mean a replacement gearbox, and a vibration does not identify a flywheel on its own. Tell us what happens when the vehicle is cold or warm, accelerating, manoeuvring or changing gear.

Mileage, towing, recent clutch work and any engine tuning are useful parts of the history. We agree an investigation rather than quoting blindly for a major component.

Manual clutch and driveline work.

We consider the exact vehicle before confirming the repair and parts. Inspection may identify related components that are sensible to assess while access is available; these are discussed rather than added without explanation.

  • Manual clutch replacement and clutch-operation concerns
  • Flywheel assessment and replacement where required
  • Clutch hydraulic and release-system faults
  • Manual gear-selection and linkage concerns
  • Driveshafts, CV joints and related driveline repairs

Why removal can change the scope.

Some wear or damage cannot be identified fully until the affected assembly has been removed. An external inspection can guide the next step, but it cannot show every internal surface or component.

We explain the initial work, likely access requirements and what remains uncertain. If the findings change the recommended repair, we discuss the additional parts and labour before proceeding.

Automatic and CVT: servicing only.

Our automatic and CVT transmission offering is servicing, not gearbox repair or replacement. Please give us the transmission details before booking so we can confirm whether the proposed service is within scope.

Gearbox software tuning is a separate Torque Monsta service for supported vehicles; it is not a mechanical repair and cannot remedy an existing worn or faulty transmission.

Help us plan the job properly.

Send the registration, mileage, transmission type and any modifications. Mention whether the vehicle can be driven and whether parts have already been purchased. Customer-supplied components must be agreed in advance.

Once the scope is understood, the team can discuss parts availability, workshop time and collection arrangements. An initial booking is not a promise that a major repair will be completed the same day.
