DPF Cleaning

What is a DPF?
A DPF filter is found in the exhaust system. The purpose to collect and trap the soot that comes out of the engine of a diesel car. The filter can only carry so much at a time so this is where the regeneration process comes into play which burn the soot inside the DPF so it can expel out the exhaust. This process only works in strict conditions which have to be met which are not always possible
Vehicles fitted with a DPF are designed to go through a regeneration cycle to clear out the soot automatically. Over time a DPF will block up due to incorrect driving conditions or faulty parts in the system which disables regenerations, if the fault is ignored it will cause the car to go into Limp mode.
Diagnosing the root cause is important. The DPF may be blocked by short journeys and just needs a clean or there is an underlying issue that needs to be addressed first. Which is why a diagnostics is essential before any clean
What we offer
We offer Three levels of DPF Cleaning:

On Vehicle solutions for small blockages (Maintenance clean)

This Solution is for minor issues or peace of mind cleans and takes a couple of hours

On Vehicle solutions for medium blockages (Thorough clean)

This Solution is for more in-depth issues, or a DPF issue that has been left unchecked for a while. This takes a few hours / half a day

Off Vehicle solution for heavy / Severe blockages (Deep Clean)

This solution is for DPFs that would normally be considered fully blocked.
The DPF is removed from the vehicle and is then placed in our Cabinet cleaner for a 4-hour cycle. Once cleaned and pressure tested, the DPF is then refitted to the vehicle if it passes the pressure test.
A forced regen is then carried out on the vehicle. -
This option is also available to the trade, if you remove the DPF and present it to us we can clean it for you (Trade prices are available).
